marcello donadello Get the irony: “Everything happened in the beginning” could be said for most of the names who have a long history. But not them.
These rascals still sound like children let loose in the control room. Hear them giggling looking around: "...and if I pull this lever?"

Each card they play is never final, just a move in an infinite game – and part of the fun is also seeing how they come up with new magic tricks to amaze you.
“Where is the windy gun?”, they ask – and you know they're up to something

about

"In June 2022 I took the opportunity to go back to the albums ’Everything happened in the beginning’ and ‘Where is the windy gun?’ with the idea of deconstruction then remixing. I really had no preconceived idea how each track should sound or even how it would end up but I was thinking of more intensity with less components.

First up I started taking sounds out leaving just the bare bones thus giving the track more space and definition. Then I changed the tempos to see what would eventuate. Faster, slower until you hit that sweet spot. On some tracks I completely changed the drums and others I eliminated them all together. On other tracks I swapped out the bass line for a more dub feel. Volumes of instruments were changed. I wanted the loud louder and the soft softer. More dynamics and drama that ebbs and flows.

This was heaps of fun to do. Not being too precious with the original recordings. If sounds didn’t fit the new direction of the track they were discarded and sometimes other sounds were added.

This is the result but I’m sure if I ever return to these tracks in the future they would be totally different.“

about

Scattered Order Sydney, Australia

They don't make noise like that anymore.

With their assembled collection of eccentric sound tools, Scattered Order have fermented another set of dangerous sonic gases: sometimes absurdly pleasant, sometimes scarily abrasive, always multi-layered and certainly hurtling towards a blissful destination. ... more
